Behold, cake!
It’s been a while since I caked last (I’m taking on significantly fewer cake projects this year, both because of the probable-celiac diagnosis and because sanity, I hear, is a Thing), but it was super fun working on this gorgeous birthday cake this weekend.
The brief was two-tier in teal, pink and gold. Bottom tier is white chocolate mud cake with lavender buttercream, top is vegan chocolate banana cake with vegan chocolate buttercream. The whole thing is covered in teal vegan chocolate buttercream (and there was a board between the cakes so the vegan one isn’t contaminated ;)).
The flowers, believe it or not, are silk – $20 for the bunch from the fabric store!!
