Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
Shockingly enough, this week we are back to cakes! It’ll be cake next week too, as I’m running one behind for you at the moment 🙂
Anyway, this was a super quick one I made for my husband to take to work. As Liana helpfully pointed out, it does indeed look like I put a box down next to a few flowers :’D “Concrete” cakes are a Thing right now, and given DH is in the construction industry, it worked? It looked very convincingly cementy in real life, AND it was super quick and easy to do because any messy bits looked deliberate! Yay! Winning all round.
This one’s a chocolate mud cake with a honey cheesecake filling 🙂
Sadly, my phone is on the out-and-out and corrupted all the photos I took except this one. You can see that the ‘cracked edge of the concrete’ on the left is darker – in actuality all the cracked bits all over the cake were painted silver 🙂
And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
