Let’s get back to some #FoxBook music for a couple of weeks, since I’m in the throes of trying to wrestle this beast of a book into submission again. I swear, this book, urgh. It is either going to kill me with doubt or kill me with pride, there will be no in between >.<

Actually a new cake this week! :’D This one’s a gluten-free white chocolate mud cake, with vanilla bean Vienna buttercream. Om nommity. Although the design is super simple, the little bunch of jonquils and blossoms isn’t actually a single posy – each flower is individually wired and inserted into the cake, oy. Also, if I’d

I mentioned Amy Sheppard yesterday in my post, and in browsing back through her Insta feed, I realised she’d released a single with accompanying music vid. As the pioneer of the #kissmyfatass tag, and given her wonderful IS feed, I thought the song would be good – but it’s actually better than I’d hoped. Catchy,

I’m tearing up a little as I’m writing this, because I’m writing this on Sunday, and my Nana is dying, and I fully expect that by the time this posts on Thursday, she will be gone. (And that makes four grandparents in four months. Can 2019 just stop already, please?) My mum has been going

Anyway, today is release day for How To Create Life, my cute lil handbook for writers (and anyone else interested in comparative anatomy) about why plants and animals look/function the way they do, and what habits result in what appearance, and what climate

Literally a redux, because this is THE SAME CAKE from last week, just wearing different decorations O:) I mean, come on: I had a photoshoot opportunity. Of course I was going to make the most of that! 😀 This was actually my favourite of all the cakes, because I really, really love apple blossoms, and

A group of divers were out, well, diving, and stumbled (metaphorically, because stumbling while swimming is hard?) across a tiny lil octopus. Said octopussum had had a tiny lapse in judgement, and was attempting to use a plastic cup as a shell. The divers felt sorry for it, and spent a significant part of their

A partial repost, because I’d forgotten about this paradigm I spontaneously invented a couple of years ago until Saturday just past, when I managed to – such fun – lock myself out of my house. Harrumph. $160 for a locksmith is NOT how I wanted to spend money right now, thanks very much. I could
