Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
Took some time out on Saturday again to Art with the small child, which is a Bonding Thing we both adore doing. I’m also super excited because I took the leap and got a proper case for my markers, which is a) ultra aesthetic and b) I think makes them more accessible and easier to use?
So this time I followed a bit of a tutorial by one of my fav artists that I follow online, Katrina ‘Kat’ Young, about layering in monochrome first and then adding colour over top. I didn’t go as far as her tutorial suggested because I got nervous and also it took me an hour to do this and that was about my concentration + sitting up limit at the time, BUT HEY, I practised a skill and the result is, well, a result, and I learned something about the process of using my markers, and hey here we are, I made a thing 🙂
The initial purple blocking in of the tones above, then the “final” below.
And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
