Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
So I’ve worked really hard to clear more space in my schedule this year after a few reminders that in order to write effectively, I need not only time to write, I also need white space as well. One unexpected benefit of this is that on some Saturdays, which are my no-chore church day, the kids and I have been Indulging In Art. If you’ve been around for a while you’ll remember that phase I went through where I bought a bunch of beautiful copic markers. Well, it is FABULOUS that they are out and being used again, to the point where they now have a permanent home in the family room!
And so, periodically, you’ll get actual made-it Monday art updates here 🙂 Hurrah!
I’m focussing a lot on using colours that are aesthetically pleasing to me, on trying to improve my technical skills, and on not committing to anything Big but just, you know, having fun because that’s part of the point of making art 🙂 So, this week, a sky/landscape tutorial Miss 8 and I followed.
And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
