Ah, the melodrama. 😀

Actually, all this is about is the fact that the latest Inklet, “Alone” is out now! 😀 (Although, as I type this, I am in fact alone, and have been for a couple of days, and it is QUIET, and MAGICAL.)

“Alone” is yet another iteration of the Jesscapades story, a novel I wrote back in, mm, 2008? 2009? which was simultaneously both delightful and a hot mess. In detangling it, the single novel spawned about three or four different *universes*, and ermagersh, so much mess.

“Alone” is a short story (obvs), but it comes from one of those resultant universes. One day, hopefully, the various novel iterations will appear and you’ll be able to piece the whole thing together 🙂

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy “Alone” 🙂 🙂

Soulbonds mean a slow, lingering death for those who carry them—and Guiro’s soulbond is nearly at an end. But if he dies near other people, the soulbond will jump to them.

And so, at the end of a long, cobbled alleyway, Guiro lingers over his very last approach to the door of the place he used to call home. Just for a few more minutes, he needs to pretend he belongs.

A touching story about the power of found families, and why real love means never having to keep secrets.

Out now in print and ebook.
