Well, I’ve been a bit remiss in getting here to tell you about it, but HURRAH! Christmas Miracle Is Just A Saying is HERE!! Officially it released on 25 November, but hey, better late than never, right?
This sparkling, chatty little story came about because I had to write a story for a prompt for a magazine submission, an opportunity I got in a Kickstarter campaign. Only, as is wont to happen sometimes, the story ran long. I tried trimming it down to fit the magazine’s word length requirements, but it lost too much of the heart of the story – and too much of the chatty tone 😀 Because yes, that is definitely one of the draw cards of this story. If you love a chatty, personable narrator in urban fantasy, this story is for you!
Also for you if you like weresharks, family drama at Christmas time (specifically, watching other people’s drama without having to engage in it yourself, lol), secrets and lies, the unravelling of mysteries, nothing being what you thought it was, glowy magic and magical storms, and also, naturally, short little novelettes you can read in an hour just perfect for setting the Christmas mood!
This story contains a little swearing and blood and is intended for a general adult audience.
Arabella’s Christmas Eve takes a turn for the worse when she convinces her best friend, Jenson the wereshark, to join her for a “calming” swim at the beach.
A swim? Sure.
Calming? Not even close.
With lives on the line, Arabella needs a miracle. What she gets are unexpected allies, old family secrets, and a Christmas that threatens everything she thought she knew about the people she loves — and the holiday itself.
A holiday-themed urban fantasy novella that proves survival is all about one thing: good communication.
