#MadeItMonday: A Unicorn, At Miss Pink’s Request

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

More drawing this week with the Pink-Year-Old, who requested a unicorn from me. She also requested a request from me, so I requested a bunny 🙂 The whole point of all of this, of course, is that humans are made to make stuff, and the results are irrelevant: focusing on making new things is fundamental to our mental health and wellbeing and to contributing something to the world and to balancing the modern social drive to consume, consume, consume. Making Stuff is literally soulbalm, hence creating the container of Made-It Monday to remind me to try to actively Create New Stuff on a weekly basis.

And of course, it doesn’t have to be art – there are plenty of weeks I’ve claimed cooking as my creative act for the week as well, and I might even use that again in coming weeks as well. Just, y’know, the act of making something that didn’t exist before is enough. Make something. It’s so so so so good for you.

And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
