So at present it’s virtually impossible to know what comes in the Inkprint Press Fan Kits without actually buying one. This isn’t necessarily by design so much as it is by necessity and by procrastinatory perfectionism: trying to decide how to take photos of the Fan Kits so they are a) aesthetic and b) appealing and c) informative and then getting them onto sites so they are not necessarily d) spoilery if people don’t want spoilers is, shall we say, A Challenge.
But!
Because I am a benevolent and wondrous author, I decided what the heck: let’s share a photo of some of the items I received recently that go into the Fan Kit Mini for And Then I Shall Transform! (Since we are celebrating that book this week, yes we are, aren’t we – please just nod, thank you, much appreciated.)
Brief reminder: Fan Kits are Inkprint Press’s response to the book box: you get a special edition of the book (bare minimum it comes signed, but often there are bonus scenes or a special cover or things like that) plus a bunch of fun lil goodies that all link directly to the events of said book, and which are designed to make the experience of the book a little more multi-sensory. Think merch, yo. Lots and lots of ultra fun merch.
Fan Kits are the ones for full-length novels, and they come in gorgeous custom-designed boxes. Fan Kit Minis are for the shorter works, and they come in a padded mailer. It’s black. I decorate it with stickers for you. Usually a bat because Inkprint Press has this thing about carrier bats, BUT ALSO it can be random – like right now I have snakes-in-hats and capybaras. Amazing.
*ahem*
ANYWAY back to the And Then I Shall Transform Fan Kit MIni…
There are six (6) items that go in a Mini, and there are six (6) short stories in And Then I Shall Transform. How convenient! It’s almost like I could pick one item per short story and stuff them happily into the Fan Kit Mini… 😀
The promised sneaky peek (which I nearly wrote as sneeky peak, my gosh, it is late, I am brainless):
Pictured: the book, obviously; an adorable black kitty pin; crystal and forest stickers; and – you guys – a golden ladybeetle die. *happy flailing* The dice are quite weighty, I am much pleased with them, not gonna lie. (Also there’s a rubber band in the picture. That’s not relevant; that’s because I used a bunch of asparagus for dinner right before I took this photo :’D)
Should you happen to want to get your lil mitts on a Fan Kit Mini because you too should be celebrating release week for And Then I Shall Transform, you can do so RIGHT HERE (embedded in the post for those reading via email – or click here). Just choose Fan Kit Mini from the drop down menu below and hey presto, I’ll pack one up for you and send it on its way 🙂 <3
