Notable Classics: A New Thing I Apparently Do?

Wow, are we shocked, Amy has a new project 😛

Actually, this one’s kind of an older project now, because I did it back in, like, June, but anyway.

Long story short, I really really wanted to teach The Loved One with my current Year 10 class, but the person at school who is responsible for ordering such things informed me that there were no print copies available in bulk that could reach us in the several months before I needed to teach it (hi covid, thanks for that).

So I did what any normal person who wants a book and owns a publishing company would do: I whinged and whined and moaned about it, until a colleague pointed out that the book might be public domain. Lo, it is indeed public domain! So, THEN I did what any normal person with a publishing company would do, and printed my own version of it 😛

I have further plans to do more public domain works too, because it was satisfying and hey, it expands Inkprint’s catalogue, so why not? The line is called Notable Classics because – this is the fun part, for me – they’re printed double spaced and with extra blank pages throughout specifically so that you can take notes in them! This was perfect for school where students were expected to take notes in them and annotate and highlight etc 🙂

So: Notable Classics. Now a thing. The Loved One is currently available, Frankenstein is in formatting (if slowly), and there are plans for Dracula and Anne Of Green Gables next. Yay!
