Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
I had a very social week last week, catching up with a bunch of friends, which was amazing. Other than that, a lot of time was spent on formatting and editing, prepping a LOT of books so I can order print proof copies in a couple of weeks.
Making wise, I did finish off another baby play mat, but I don’t have pictures, so. I did a bunch of formatting… but that’s not super exciting to share here.
So I’m going to share the one thing I did make last week that’s both exciting and shareable: a cover!
My publishing goal is to release something new each quarter, right, and I often hold onto the lil novelettes (10,000 – 15,000 words, or about 70 – 90 page books) to fill in gaps. For next year, I have two novelettes waiting in the wings, and I thought I knew what order I was going to release them in… But it turned out the OTHER one was easier to finish a cover for (contrary to my expectations!), so I’m swapping the order.
Which means, I’d like to introduce you to the cover for my Q1 2021 release, Rush Job! It’s a sci fi heist novelette set in the Witch Blue universe. I wrote it in January this year for a course I was completing, and I’m super excited to be able to share it with you soon, because I had so much fun with it and I think you’re going to love it <3
And so, without further ado, the cover!

Yay! I am much pleased with it.
And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
