Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
I’ve been hoarding toilet rolls for a bit with the thought of letting my kids do some craft with them – notionally during the shut down but we are out of shutdown now here so then I just didn’t have a specific plan in mind idek? Anyway, pulled them out last weekend and finally did the people-making thing with the fabric scraps box. I also introduced the kids to the idea of paper dolls, woo me drawing people without a reference they are misshapen and i am so proud…
That’s a horse there in the background that the paper people are standing on, btw. (Son was very meta and gave it horse-print fabric for the mane and tail, ha.) And those are dogs in front. And yes, that black & white one is my son pretending to eat his paper doll’s head. HA.
See? Making stuff doesn’t need to be hard or aspirational. Creativity is creativity, process is distinct from product, rewards lie not just in results.
Go make something today, forget about the results, and just revel in the process of adding something to the world. <3
And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
