YOU. GUYS. It’s only ONE WEEK until Mercury’s first book hits the stores! I can’t believe it.
Like, actually.
Firstly, this is the first novel I ever wrote (I mean, in essence; the writing has obviously changed a lot, but this was the first story), so when I say it has been years in the making, WOW do I mean yeeeeeears.
But secondly… I finished writing it in, like, March last year? Yeah, about that. I’ve written a lot of other stuff since then, and my head is firmly in #FoxBook land right now, so it feels weird to think that you guys are finally going to get to see the thing that I was obsessed with a few months ago 😀
I read somewhere once that being an author is like telling a joke and then having to wait a year to find out if it was funny. So, so true.
But anyway! HURRAH! How Not To Acquire A Castle is nearly here, and I am so glad that you guys will finally get to meet Mercury and Deviran and Bystar. I hope you fall in love, just like I did. <3 <3
PS I did a novel challenge last year with Dean Wesley Smith, part of which was that he read through the novel for me once I’d finished writing it. He liked it, for whatever change that may be worth to you 😉
