Randomly came across this the other day – a collection of perfume companies making book-related perfumes! When I say book related, I don’t just mean, like, character themed or whatnot. I mean companies that actually made perfumes that smell like books.
I don’t know. Is that too much? I feel like it might be a little too much. I LOVE the smell of books (and bookstores), don’t get me wrong – just one of the many reasons I’m still not sold on ebooks – but actually personally smelling like one? Not sure. I’d have to smell the perfumes IRL to judge, I think. Especially since perfumes sit differently on everyone’s different skins.
(On everyone’s skin? IDK, you know what I mean: perfumes smell different on different people. I’m not implying I have different skins. You know.)
This place, Immortal Perfumes, also looks really cool. They are one of the ones linked to in that first article as having a book-scented perfume – but they also do the more traditional ‘lit themed’ perfumes, with Baby Vamp, Persephone and Pemberley among their offerings. TBH, the Persephone one sounds AMAZING and I’m really tempted to save up for one of their sample packs (hello, there is a Dead Writers sample pack!). I’m nearly out of my current perfume, and it looks like Immortal Perfumes are all-natural etc.
Still not sure about book-scented perfume, though. IDK. What do you think??
