It’s A Wrap? I Guess? Or Maybe A Burger. Either Way, It Was 2018!

It occurs to me that due to sketchy and sporadic internet access the last three weeks, I haven’t done a 2018 wrap post. I’m not sure anyone particularly *cares* about this, but hey! It’s an easy blog post to manage this week when I am fribbulatinglycombobulated about being back at work! *\o/*

So, last year.

Last year. Wow.

Last year was… *shakes head* I don’t actually think words can do my lived experience of last year justice. Writing progressed SO much faster than I was expecting it to, after only releasing my first novel/s in 2017, and just… wow. So many amazing opportunities last year, including the WMG Business Masterclass that I attended in October in Las Vegas and which I am still practically glowing from.

I now own a real-life gen-u-ine company (and can, if feeling in the mood, say that I am the CEO of an international publishing company BWA HA HA HA*), I found a permanent day job (the one I started this week), I passed a MASSIVE, MIND-DESTROYING project at work that means a significant and hefty pay rise, my husband passed the study he was doing, and Inkprint Press released 8 (EIGHT!!!) books, including our first hardcover edition (which, btw, is supes pretty).

Also, I wrote ~205,000 words, which is my best writing year EVER.

Like, whoa, guys.

So. It’s no wonder I hit the end of the year teetering on the brink of burnout and feeling A++ exhausted; but otoh, what a year. WHAT A YEAR.

2018 Releases

2019 Plans

So, onwards, I guess. Inkprint has a rideeekulous 9 releases planned this year. Two of those are dependent on me actually writing the novels, ha, but we shall see. Right now, though, How To Create Cultures is already out, and J.C. Nelson’s Stand-In Hearts is up for ebook preorder, as is my How Not To Acquire A Castle.

In addition to those, we will have the next instalment in Liana Brooks’ Fleet of Malik series, Change of Momentum, and in theory the final two standalone parts of From The Ground Up: How To Create Life and How To Map.

In addition-addition to the above, which are highly likely, it’s possible that we will have the second and third instalments in the Kaditeos: Mercury series, and also the second (and final) Darkness & Good anthology. We shall see!

As well as all these official publications, I’m also kicking off with my Patreon really truly and properly, and for $1/month you get a brand-new, shiny, Patreon-exclusive (for a minimum of six months) short story by yours truly. At $2/month, you also get weekly updates, often including excerpts from works in progress, and for $5/month you also get ebook copies of everything I release while you’re a supporter (including my Inklets). So, if this sounds like something you’d be interested in, and you have a spare $12/year (grin), go sign up for more exciting new stories! 😀

2019. May you be slightly less frenetic than 2018, please. <3 <3 <3

*Y’all know this is hilarious, right? It’s a company that exists almost exclusively to publish my own writing, and my best friend’s, although we have a couple of others on board now too. So it sounds WAY more impressive than it actually is :’D
