‘Lava’, a short music video by Disney in the style of Moana. I was a little skeptical at first, because it kind of comes across as ‘guy grows old waiting for love until suddenly young girl inspired by his loneliness matures and is old enough to love him and then they have True Love’… BUT at the end the song specifically says that they want to grow old together, so I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that ‘extinction’ here is a metaphor for dying young, rather than natural ageing – because, after all, he does re-erupt and all, etc etc, I am probably way over-thinking this.
