* “Average” = 80 books in the house, large = ‘more than that’, with numbers over 350 not having any further discernible impact.
(Curious: how many physical books do you guys have in your houses? What’s considered ‘normal’ these days? I have well and truly surpassed the 350 mark, but I’m a bit of a hoarder with my physical books… :’D)
(Also, would be interested to see a study comparing the impact with ebooks. I suspect it wouldn’t be as great because they’re not physically lying around for kids to pick up and the visual impact isn’t so significant/tangible?)
