Whoa No Way, Books Are Good For Kids!

Whoa, I’m, like, so shocked: new study ‘reveals’ that growing up with a large* home library results in significantly improved literacy, numeracy, and digital communication skills! 😱😱 No way!! 📚📚📚

* “Average” = 80 books in the house, large = ‘more than that’, with numbers over 350 not having any further discernible impact.

(Curious: how many physical books do you guys have in your houses? What’s considered ‘normal’ these days? I have well and truly surpassed the 350 mark, but I’m a bit of a hoarder with my physical books… :’D)

(Also, would be interested to see a study comparing the impact with ebooks. I suspect it wouldn’t be as great because they’re not physically lying around for kids to pick up and the visual impact isn’t so significant/tangible?)
