Yep, true story.
See, I had these poems, and I was planning collecting them and, like, publishing them maybe in November or something? But then the printers had a discount on, and so I mocked up semi-final files so I could take advantage of said discount, only then the files were basically finished anyway because it’s only a book of poems after all, and then I uploaded them elsewhere so I could get a proof copy, only I accidentally hit ‘approve’ instead of ‘order proof’? And so the book is, like, available on Amazon now and in other places to preorder for July 18, which is the random date I put in when I was uploading the semi-final files because see: discount?
I have no clue what do about about an ebook edition, fwiw. Like, most of the poems are not epically reliant on layout, but there *are* a couple that use layout as part of the poem, and I’m not sure how to go about adapting that best for ebook. I think I might end up inserting them as a graphic, with the plain text after each one, or something. Either that, or adapting them for plain formatting, and then leaving a link after each one to this site, where I can post them in their originally formatted form for Readers’ Viewing Pleasure.
IDK, if you were choosing, which of those scenarios would you prefer?? Opinions are definitely welcome.
So yeah. I, ah, released a new book? Go me? :’D
