Generic updatey-ness today, because Because.
Sanctuary 3, otherwise known as When Worlds Collide, is still sitting in a metaphorical drawer at about 40k (of a projected 55-60) while I try to figure out how on earth I’m going to wrap everything up (think about your series arc before committing to a series, yo). However, I’m hopeful that it will be done by the end of this term(ish), which is to say early April. Provided I can meet that target, we’ll be looking at a July release. I’ll keep you posted as to how things pan out there, but don’t hold your breath: I’m definitely doing my best, but it feels a lot like doing that double-sided puzzle of the polar bear on snow a group of us collaboratively worked on the week I met my husband, only this time it’s not really collaborative AND I’m wearing a blindfold o.O
However. The flip side of that is that I’m working actively on How Not To Take Over The World right now, and wow, IT IS FLYING. Like, I got through about 15k in the last two days. What the even. At this point, it seems pretty on-track for a planned October release; I’m about 3/4 of the way through and should finish in the next couple of weeks (yes, before I get back to WWC, la; some books just come easier than others, and there’s not much you can do about that).
Also slated for this year and bubbling away in the background is the theme for writers book, currently slated for a Q2 release chapter-by-chapter on the blog, with a Q3 final-package release. And I’m tentatively planning a Q4 novella release, but that will depend entirely on how things go with a Speshul Sekrit Non-Writing Project that’s also in the works. It’s a busy year, yo.
I also have non-fiction news, but just need to check one more thing on that before I announce; hopefully you’ll see the news here tomorrow 🙂
Any questions? 😀
